Our Story
How Golden Buggy Began

We’re Shannon and Kyla — the mother-daughter team behind Golden Buggy. We created Golden Buggy from a lifelong love for dogs and a shared passion for giving them happy, fulfilled lives.
From a young age, Shannon dreamed of becoming a veterinarian — always drawn to caring for animals and believing she would one day help them every day. While life took a different path, that passion never faded. Shannon grew up in a home with Border Collies and Australian Shepherds, where dogs were always part of daily life. Later, when she started her own family, she adopted her first Golden Retriever — beginning a chapter filled with many beloved dogs over the years.
Alongside raising her children, Shannon built creative businesses in décor and design, bringing warmth, imagination, and heart into everything she created. Kyla grew up alongside that love, developing a deep connection with dogs while also discovering her strengths in business, creativity, web design, and content creation. With a college degree in business, she brings organization, strategy, and thoughtful planning to every detail. Along the way, she spent several years connecting Golden Retrievers with their forever families, building trusted relationships and gaining a deep understanding of care, temperament, and long-term commitment. Together, they blended heart and structure to create Golden Buggy — a place where dogs are cared for as if they were their own.
At Golden Buggy, every dog is family — no matter their breed, size, or age. What began with a love for dogs naturally grew into something bigger: creating joyful, safe adventures for dogs of all kinds across the East Valley.
“Golden” honors the dogs who helped spark the journey, and “Buggy” pays tribute to our senior boy, Buddy, whose gentle spirit still rides with us on every adventure.
Golden Buggy was created to give dogs their own kind of fun — whether that’s a ride to the park, a pup-cup stop, or simply the freedom to explore and be themselves. Because nothing brings more joy than wagging tails, muddy paws, and dogs being dogs.
